Why Technology & Media Arts?
By 2020, there will be 1.4 million good paying STEM-related job openings in the U.S., yet less than 14% of computer science degrees are awarded to women. Likewise, only 20% of these behind-the-scenes jobs are filled by women. Our mission is to inspire girls with female role models to demonstrate the viability and access to these jobs so there more likely to continue their studies in technology and media.
Our organization is made up of women and men in the tech and media industries, educators, an advisory team, committee members, a board of directors, sponsors, and program officers who run the business of what we do.
